Smarty Design — How to Use

What you'll accomplish

By the end of this guide you will have produced configuration instructions and UAT scenarios from your discovery output, and prepared your master data templates.

Before you start

• Completed discovery + gap-fit matrix (Discover/Deep-Dive)

Step by step

1. Open the Design page
   Press 'Generate' on the Configuration Instructions card; the document is prepared step by step (progress and duration on screen).
2. Generate UAT scenarios
   The acceptance-tests card produces test scenarios from gap-fit items — your pre-go-live checklist.
3. Download the master data templates
   Download the Customer/Vendor, Product and Category templates (XLSX) from the Master Data card; have your IT team fill them. Read the 'Rules' sheet — the external_id column prevents duplicates.
4. Upload and validate the filled file
   Upload from the same card; the system validates row by row and lists errors with row numbers. Import is locked until the file is clean.
5. Import into Odoo
   Your consultant (or our team if you didn't purchase support) starts the import with a staging declaration; every step is audit-logged and verified by read-back.
